How does the internet change audiences?

We worked out an average that 16-18 year old's spend £9.38 on books in a year. We were shocked that we got this figure as we think it is to high.

1) The reason why we think this is to high is because we think that this age group would not spend lots and lots on money on books, as they were born with the amazing technology, they would tend to read things online, rather than buying it.

2) Audiences don't have to read books in-order to become smart, that's another reason why we think that the audience don't spend to much time on books as they could become smart by using other things, such as the internet.

3) The reason why we think that older age people tend to still read books is because they are still stuck in the old fashion tradition, where-as the younger aged people were born with the internet.
